astray

astray is a game in the you&me series, created in RPG Maker XP. It is a short story about the lives of Yarn, and her sister Nyla.

This is an unfinished work, created for My First Game Jam: Winter 2017. I've experimented in RPG Maker 2003 before, with another game in the series called You May, though I've never finished an actual project.

Many assets are not created, and maps are not finished. Many have walls of trees you can easily walk through, so I suggest just following the suggested path unless you want to sequence break for fun. Nothing is finalized, and there is no sound.

I was unable to finish the game in time for the Jam as you can see, and this prototype ends just over halfway into the story, I'd say. You'll get a text window telling you when you've hit that point.

Controls may vary depending on device, press F1 to see and change controls. C is action button, B is back/menu, and movement is arrow keys. A is currently unused.
